Guys, I genuinely cannot explain how grateful I am for people who know how to do their jobs effectively. Setting up a website can be easy, if you’re willing to pay for easy access, but as for me? I decided to do everything myself to save money. Do I regret that choice? NO! However it has caused me at least a few headaches.
Today’s headache had to do with an upgrade that I made to the website via my hosting service. The upgrade was supposed to make my website faster and more secure, but it just made my website DISAPPEAR. So today I did a deep dive into how to fix the problem, and learned a whole lot of information about what different numbers and names meant. It was starting to look like I’d be able to fix the issue all on my own!
Of course, then I hit a hiccup. The kind of entry I needed to make wasn’t available. So then I turned to Tech Support… who solved my problem in about 5 minutes and saved me HOURS of work.
Seriously, if you work in customer service (like me) and you make an effort to do your job well and in a timely manner, you are my favorite kind of person!
Let’s be real, customer service and tech support keep the world from imminent destruction, and we don’t give them enough love.
Send a thank you card to everyone you know who works in public facing positions. They deserve more gratitude! Send them $5 while you’re at it, they don’t get paid enough for being as awesome as they are. (This is a joke – or is it?)
Thank you forever and ever,
-a super relieved and ever fortunate fem
